The Hearing Procedure

  • Welcome and Introductions
  • A Chief Justice will read the official complaint to all involved parties.
    • Date
    • Location
    • Justices/Parties Present
    • The Charge
  • The Plaintiff will present the evidence and they will make the opening statement followed by questioning from the Hearing Board.
  • If witnesses are present, they will be allowed to make their statement, followed by questioning from the Hearing Board and then the chapter’s representative.  Once questions for the witness are concluded, they are asked to leave.  If questions for the witness arise later in the hearing, the witness is asked to enter the room for those questions only.
  • The Respondent will be allowed to present its case, followed by questioning from the Hearing Board. 
  • Concluding thoughts by both parties and/or Hearing Board.
  • Evidence and/or written statements will be collected by Chief Justices before all parties or Justices leave the room
  • Deliberation of the Hearing Board.
  • Decisions of the Hearing Board.
  • Respondent will be notified of decisions, in writing, within 24 hours.
